I am making and updating my web site, which is easier to make a new one than just change it, but how do I get my old website down and use my domain on my new site. It is still on old site right now. Is there a way to do this? I need to keep the old domain as it is well know.

to delete your existing site you can use a FTP program I use filezilla (a free program) enter your ftp log in details into filezilla then log in to your site with filezilla and right click in the panel with your files in you will have a chose of options one is to delete this will remove your existing site,

then you just upload your new website using filezilla

you will not have to do anything with the domain as it’s still pointing to the same place

if you want to change it just right click and chose download you can then edit them and re-upload

I have a network with a single domain controller, both drives on the raid mirror failed. I have an MS backup .BKF file with all drive data and system state, however, after a re-install and restore using directory services restore mode, machine BSOD’s on re-boot and then powers down. Ram checked with mem test new drives checked with spin rite but problem persists.

You would just run the BKF file, like you said you’ve reinstalled the files and just run the BKF file, when running "Backup" through system tools, you choose "Restore", your BKF file will have the exact configuration of the domain controller just as long you took an image of the computer and backed up the system state and settings. Why use the windows base back up tool though? you can get better ones, you can get ones that take complete images of your computer and if it goes down you can immediately restore in like 5 to 30mins depending on the size of the image.

How do I figure these out?

If your arcfunction is positive, the angle is quad I.
If your arc function is negative, the quadrant changes, but you would like quadrants next to each other.
so, with that in mind

If arcsin is positive, use quad I
If arcsin is negative, use quad IV.
That makes the domain of arcsin [-pi/2, pi/2]

If arc cos is positive, use quad I
if arc cos is negative use quad II.
That makes the domain [0,pi]

tan is tricky, tan is negative in quad II and quad IV. However, tan 90 is undefined, (hence you will have an open endpoint) and choose quad IV.
If tan is positive use quad I
if tan is negative use quad IV

that makes the domain (-pi/2, pi/2) open endpoints

I know that x is the domain and y is the range but I am having issues putting this into a real world situation…can anyone help me please?

We say Y is the range because on a cartesian xy graph, Y is generally what we are solving for. The range will be the range of what Y will be on the graph. X is the domain because that tells us what values of X we can use. ie, in some cases the domain will be anything that will not produce an "error" such as a zero in the denominator.

Say I wanted to buy 2 apples a day for 7 days. And I didn’t eat any, how many would I have after 7 days?
So:
day1 = 2
day2 = 4
day3 = 6
day4 = 8
day5 = 10
day6 = 12
day7 = 14

This can be modeled by y = 2x
Y will the the answer, which is the amount of apples I will have after X number of days. So looking at my answers (from above), the range will be 2 to 14. The domain will be 1 to 7, because I am only looking at it for 7 days. Technically, in the equation y=2x, the domain can be any real number and the equation will still work. But since I specified for only 7 days, the domain is 1 to 7.

I think I have come across a site that is running a scam, and I want to obtain the website’s WHOIS domain information so I can contact who is responsible, but they’re using one of those paid private domain registries… How can I get a copy of that record? Doesn’t the law require that all website domains be registered to a liable entity, and that such information be public record?

Contact the proxy private registration service the domain is registered under.The whois will give you an email address (which usually forwards to the domain owner) and tel. number of the service the registrant is using.I would make the complaint directly to the private registration service and if they see this as a scam they will probably drop their client like a hot potato.

I know there are people out there buying and selling domains. I also want to pick my own domain but all I can find is domain registration. Does that mean I don’t own it so I can’t sell it? How can I own a domain so that I can put it on auction?

First you have to register a domain. You then control that one and can use it or put it up for sale.

Most all the really good ones are already taken.

Be careful of registering a domain that might be someone’s registered trademark.

This is a burning question.As an individual, how do I register a domain name extension? For example, if I want to register "www.domainname.name". How much does it cost to register a .name type extension?And where do I register it?

I am not sure what the ci=8969 stands for? Alternatively, you can go to the home page and look for the ‘domains’ tab.

Can i just casually buy a domain name and try and create a forum and if it doesn’t work just sell the domain name? After one year, what if i don’t pay the fee for my domain name will they just take it away? Am i assuming any risk by buying a domain name?

u can auction the domain name but the chances of sale are less.

if you do not pay the fees for the 2nd year then your domain name can be bought by anyone else who pays the fees.
